King commends local industries, urges increasing production rate, expanding to more markets
At Al Hussein Park, His Majesty and Crown Prince Al Hussein viewed fully equipped mobile hospitals developed by King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau – KADDB, in cooperation with the private sector, for emergencies and crises.
His Majesty was given a brief presented by the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of KADDB; Dr. Eng. Tariq AL Abdullah, in which we indicated that KADDB designed, equipped and produced 3 expandable mobile hospitals that can reach up to 22 meters and includes a service room, up to 5.5 meters wide.
He showed 2 varieties; the first fully equipped with a capacity of 14 beds and a stretcher to accommodate an extra patient for the treatment and service of various diseases and injuries, and the second ICU hospital with a capacity of 4 beds to specifically deal with the COVID-19 outbreak as it is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to treat coronavirus-infected patients.
A number of senior officials accompanied the King on the visit.
